Martin Luther's view on justification as a means of sanctification. God, I'm such an uberdork. I hate Luther's theology, but that particular snip of Latin is a very nice descriptor of me, I think.

Uberdork = not a bad thing at all. (This coming from somebody who used a few lines of South Sami poetry as her email sig for a while.) No head for theology myself, but my mother was into it back before I was born (got a masters in divinity, this close to being ordained, then converted to Judaism--don't ask me why), so it's sortof in my mental waters, if that makes sense, in a distant yet respectable sort of way.

It's the consensual thing that gets to me, and which makes it very different and interesting. Because it's very easy to write totally non-con torturific Envy/Ed, but it gets old very quickly, and yeah. But to have that kind of connection, secret and inexplicable...phwee. ^_________^

Ahhhh, yes. I'm working on my M.Div now, actually, which is partly why I know such useless, random things. (And partly I know them because they are useless and random.)

It is easier to write noncon EnEd, that's true, but I really make an effort with each thing I write to bring something new to the table, something unique, something that hasn't been done before.
But yeah, I can completely see your point. Most people gloss over or don't catch the fact that Envy and Ed are so similar in personality that they almost are mirror-images of each other. If they ever sat down to talk, they might still hate one another, but it would only be because they are so much alike! *laughs*)
