Ok, lessee here.

I got all of my sexy, sexy outfit except the proper pair of panties, and, since everyone will be able to see them, that is kind of an important element! I have no worries though, leaving everything-- lace, flounces, ruffles, bows and all-- in competent hands.

I also have two midterm essays to write. The Taoism one that's due next Tuesday is manageable. The one that's due on Monday is... Well, it's a bit of a horror, to be honest. It supposed to be seven pages or less, and documented in Chicago style, for American Religious History.

"1)The Pilgrims and Puritans who settled in Massachusetts came to these shores for specific religious reasons related to the difficult and complex history of the Reformation in England in the 16th and 17th centuries. What were these reasons and how did these early settlers of New England understand themselves in relation to the religious world they left behind? What problems did they encounter as they attempted to implement their ideas in the new world? In what ways did their religious experiment lead to unintended consequences for the future character of the nation?
"2)The founding fathers of the United States of America were deeply influenced by the Enlightenment of the 18th century and they created a form of government that reflected these philosophical influences. Explain what these ideas were and how the form of government designed by them was an attempt to resolve specific questions regarding religion and the state that had plagued Europe in the aftermath of the Reformation. Were there any ambiguities of unresolved issues that these founding fathers bequeathed to future generations of Americans in relation to the question of church and state?"

And that, children, is a graduate level midterm essay question. *brainmelt*

Speaking of religion, several people have asked me about writing an essay about the religious/spiritual/mythological symbolism in Fullmetal Alchemist.
Dude. It's so not happening.
That's like a thesis length paper, right there. I mean, that's going off on the Western alchemical significance of the Nicholas Flamel and the Philosopher's Stone and connecting that to the Old Testament stories of Moses and the crucified serpent, which leads to angelology and the New Testament sacrifice of Christ, not to mention Taoist alchemy and the "Mysterious Gate" or the esoteric meanings of "Shambhala."
Maybe I'll get to it this summer, but I doubt it.

If you get any more FMA stuff from me, it will be in the form of fics. Usually dark, angsty, traumatizing smutfics. Just be happy with that.

Kinda tired. Might crash out early tonight and then get cracking on that essay in the morning. That takes priority over everything else right now. (DAMN YOU, Paul-sensei! Don't you know I'd rather be writing smut!?
...doesn't that sound like a slogan for a button or a bumper sticker? "I'd Rather Be Writing Smut." Heh.)

Right. To bed with me and my Ebola tea then.

Man, I gotta write THREE essays by Sunday, myself. Damn assignments!

I ... am so eager for this essay. LOL But I shan't rush you. I'd love to hear more about this, though. :)

Hmmm... Maybe if I break it up into manageable sections... It might get done if I tackle one image at a time, or even, for that matter, one religion at a time.
Start with Judaism. Write five pages or so.
Go on to Christianity. Write five pages or so.
Ect.

Yeah, that might work.

You ought to write. I miss your writing. I think that's why we're on each other's f-lists, after all. *shrug*

([livejournal.com profile] tsukiguujin is really whoring out her OT3, isn't she?)

Yeah... I really would prefer to be working as hard on my fanfics as I was last week, but RL work takes precedence for now.
And I know if I start writing fics, it will develop into a full-out avoidance strategy.

Yeah, she is. ~_^ But that's ok. It's not like I was asked; this is voluntary.

I would say that I understand, but I really don't. ;) RL work actually gives me MORE time to type fanfics. *snicker*

Tsuki doesn't ASK people. She just feeds them subtle hints.

I have about as much religious knowledge as Edward does himself - you couldn't believe how glad I am that it's not the ruling power in Amestris... My brain would die. I have learnt a bit simply for reference, but that's all. I would like to know more however...

Ew... nasty essay question... I have my design history ones aroud somewhere... I'm not looking at 'em...

(psst! More Ed x Envy!!)

Yeah... *sighs* I'll get to that religious symbolism essay sometime. Don't expect any of it before next week, though, considering my midterms and me going away for the drag show.

Yes, yes. Of course there will be more EnvyxEd! XD You think I'd stop?

*gets sucked into your icon*
Whoooooaaaaaa... Envy-butt-yum...

Haha, yeah, I had good fun making that. It's my 'fight club' icon... FMA is so spoofy-licious (I DO need to make a spoof one though... you know... mayonaise.... aheh.... *runs*)
