9:02 am-- woken up by the sounds of the cats destroying the gerbil cage. Did not, at the time, realize what I was hearing.* Tried to go back to sleep.

9:40 am-- can't sleep. Zen's collar keeps jingling outside my door. Am now mildly concerned.

9:43 am-- Beat the cat away from the dead gerbil. Check on still living gerbils. Toss all cats out of Jinya's room and scream obsenities at them.

I hate life.

*Ever since Jinya got the gerbils, I have been checking on EVERY SINGLE NOISE I didn't recognize just because I knew the cats had the potential to knock over the cage. So for three weeks, I've been jumping every time the remote falls off the bed, or the cats knock over a pile of books. THE ONE FUCKING TIME I don't get up immediately... YEAH. sl;kgdja;lfgkjfgdf
