Btw, you should check out Rolling Stone's commemorative issue on MJ. A lot of it is lol!garbage (the snark is in overdrive), but there's an interview with Michael in the early eighties that I loved. It really shows you he's been dealing with certain issues waaaaay before he changed his face.

I know! I like how their compliments are actually barbed insults. And they're liars too! I was shocked that they basically trashed his work after Thriller, arguing that his career tanked when Bad came out. REALLY? I was like really? Because I wasn't fortunate enough to be aware of MJ during his Thriller days like the writers were, but I remember Michael being HUGE HUGE HUGE during Bad and Dangerous. I had a suspicion the writers were just crapping on everything afterwards because they felt nostalgia for the good ole days. I didn't think they were being fair at all. But I *loved* that early eighties interview with Michael. He rarely grants interviews, and I'm glad he did this one. You can really see he's struggling with the issues that eventually cripple him in certain ways later on.
