I would, but I'm not sure entirely what that entails. The free version I already am, but getting paid for it...? I don't know where to even begin, especially since I have no experience and can't afford to volunteer/intern.

I'm not exactly sure what it entails, either, but why don't you go ahead and apply for the canvassing position at MPIRG? It pays $10 per hour (http://www.mpirg.org/images/downloads/FieldCanvassTrainee.pdf) after training plus bonuses, health & benefits. I'm looking for a job now so I'll let you know if I find something you might be interested in. Basically for these type of positions all you need to demonstrate is leadership potential. And you have a lot of transferable skills. You can be a canvasser for any public interest organization, really.
