ATTN HARRY POTTER FEN!! QUESTIONS!
Jul. 17th, 2007 05:57 pmOk! So!
I volunteered to make a spellbook for part of our Midnight Magic Party Friday night-- the party proceeding the actual release and sale of the final HP book, of course.
Now, my questions are as follows:
1) What spells would appeal to people? (Keeping in a PG-ish range, since this is technically a kids' book release, though I do need some to appeal to the older fans, too.) I am open to suggestions!
2) What types of spells are there in HP verse? Chants and incantations, of course, and wand flicks. Potions, but I think most of those would be out of our range for the evening. Mostly, what componant type thingies would be best in these spells?

Date: 2007-07-18 03:08 am (UTC)That's so random. My local "giant bookstore" uses references to all the standard HP spells, serves Butterbeer, has a potions lesson, designates sections of the store as house common rooms, ect. ect.
C-can they get in trouble for that? O__O

Date: 2007-07-18 06:34 pm (UTC)...but I DO know that Barnes and Noble can't call their pre-release party a "Harry Potter party" due to legal issues, so we call it a "Midnight Magic party".
*shrugs*
