Oct. 13th, 2008 11:59 amI saw a bald eagle on my way in to work yesterday.
Actually, this isn't the first time I've seen one from the train, so I figure there must be at least one bird living on the land south of Fort Snelling. I wonder if it tends to fish out of Lake Nokomis more or if it goes further south to the boggy parts of the Minnesota River. I bet the latter; there's less human activity on the River. I also wonder if anyone's studying the local population at all. Bald Eagles tend to avoid populated areas, so seeing them in the suburbs of a city seems unusual.
