I don't normally have money to blow, and even when I do, I feel soul-crushingly terrible about actually spending it.

Today, however, I both had the money and had the freedom to say fuck it to my guilt.

I now have:

Plush Anubis
A small Anubis figurine
Rose incense
Essential Oils- Peppermint and Wintergreen
Lavender-infused body oil
Two new baby rats- Tabitha and Theresa

I also had breakfast this morning, and Mongolian barbeque for supper. Man, I haven't had Mongolian barbeque in years.

I spent WAY too much money. I don't even care. I never get to just "go shopping" for pleasure or for non-essential items.

Beige capped, badger blaze. Very pale shade of beige, so it's hard to see her pretty blaze. Bolder and bigger than her sis.



Fawn capped, notched cap. Shyer, but easier to take pics of because she's not manically running around.







They really are just babies. You can tell by how pink and clean their tails are in these pics, but they've also still got their fluffy baby coats and they're teensy-tiny. Maybe four months old? Maybe not even that old.

If it makes you feel better to have company, I fell twice on my way to the bus stop today, before I'd even gone a single block. I twisted my left leg joints mildly, landed on my butt hard enough that my left hip and back hurt, and smashed a huge divot out of my right knee. At that point, covered in snow, salt, blood, and aching all over, I decided fuck it and called in. God did not want me leaving the house today, apparently.

The rats will have to be renamed. Jinya looked so horrified that I gave them "people names". Of course, she knows humans with those names, so that really weirds her out. Le sigh.

Bleeding + salt can't have been fun at all. *pets* Hooray for calling in.

I went through a phase of being anti-"people names" for animals. Because you can get away with naming an animal literally anything, so why limit yourself?

Currently I'm anti-food names (Ginger, Honey, Candy, Chip) with the sole exception of Bacon.
