I've had a DW account for a while, and originally it was just my original writing journal. Then I started considering moving entirely over to DW and imported everything over there and set up and all that.

But then I promptly forgot about it.

So I'm going to use THIS-- Lykomancer-- as my main account and try to live primarily on DW from now on. My older DW account will be converted back into a fic journal-- original and fanfic, if I ever fanfic again.

I've had an account over here for over a year, and like I said, it was just a writing journal before I considered moving full-time. :(

But I do find myself wondering about LJ's future, and I don't want to lose almost 10 years worth of journal entries, stories, and so on. Even if I just use this as a carbon copy, I feel better having duplicates.

Yeah, I suppose, but the main reason I don't use DW much is because I don't know anyone here besides a few people. And the communities either post WAY too much or not enough, either cluttering up my feed or otherwise nonexistent. I guess I'll grow into it, but right now it seems...empty.

Did you get a chance to see my comment on your old blog about a job? Technically, there isn't an opening right now, but I think there's a good chance I could convince them to consider hiring a good writer.

Eh. I've had my LJ for almost a freaking DECADE, so I hate to just let it go. On the other hand, LJ just isn't that fun anymore, not the way it used to be when fandom was really active. It's not worth it to hang on there when LJ isn't the same community it was, and when there are other alternatives. So I transferred my entries over, and will try to carry on.

I did see it; I've just been really busy this week. It wouldn't work out if I had to move back up to the Cities-- I'm in Owatonna now. Otherwise, if it's a work from home kind of thing, then I am definitely interested!

I miss all the creativity that came out of fandom, and the sense of community, like you say. Have you been to Detour recently?

My company is in Burnsville, which I think is about as far away from Owatonna as St. Paul (where I commute from). Have you gotten your license yet? Currently I work from home 2 days a week, but that's kind of on the DL -- they don't want everyone asking. It's possible they'd let you work from home, esp. now that I set up a company cloud website sort of thing, but I'm thinking they would want you to be able to make it in at least a few days a week. Could you swing that?

ETA: How good are you at editing? Are you literate good at catching mistakes and reworking horrible writing? :D
